Considering my passion for my online ventures, I thought I would re-establish my personal presence in the form of my blog. I decided that noone wanted to read the rubbish that I was posting in 2005/06, and thus I was quick to press the delete all button.
I fixed up the main coding of the blog, and added a couple of snippets here and there. Next was the about page. I double clicked, and up popped my description of myself from 2006. I laughed out loud (hence my title). My original about page is displayed below, just to preserve my long lost innocence/idiocy.
So.... I am Tom Clowes. I am 17 years of age, nearly 18. I live in the United Kingdom, and am about to complete my final year of sixth form. After that I intend to go to university to study medicine: I want to be a doctor.
I am profficient in PHP, Mysql, and html, as can be seen in the form of
I am also a domain name investor, currently owning a mere 1,000 domain names scattered all over the place. Just so we can all laugh at the below a bit more, I have domains now that are worth thousands of dollars alone.
If you really feel the urge to contact me, you can do so here.
And thus without further ado, I present .... the past.
From an Un-Biased Perspective
Tom Clowes is a 16 year old web entrepreneur. He lives in the United Kingdom an will be attending the sixth form next year.
Over the past 5 years he has focussed on learning, and practicing PHP, Mysql, HTML, and CSS. He has used his knowledge to develop, as well as design many highly popular sites such as the hugely popular Textmessager, which gives the user the ability to send free SMS Text Messages worldwide.
The largest, and most well known of Tom's developments is Ruzio, an online virtual pet site which redefines the meaning of online entertainment. Since being offline, Tom has yet to pass a week whereby he hasn't received emails regarding the re-opening of what will hopefully become one of the 'great' sites on the net.
Tom also considers himself a professional domainer, having already received offers over $500 for some of his 20+ domain names. Although not a professional marketer Tom has also had some of his marketing tactics, praised as 'original' and 'exciting'.
Due to the areas in which Tom focuses, Tom is also a valued member of many large forums such as the DigitalPoint forum, where he has had the honour of learning a few of his many marketing techniques. Over the years he plans to expand his expertise, and is known for his want of complete originality.
Recently Tom has become a certified PHP programmer, although not accredited by ZEND at this time (due to his age), he has successfully passed an examination proving his competence in the area. This has opened up many more gates such as the opportunity to freelance, and offer his services to others. If you are interested please feel free to Contact Him.
